That’s right, we don’t just play with metal here- we cut squishy and spongey materials too!  Lacking a rigid structure, it can be difficult to cut softer materials precisely by hand, again making this week’s cool cut a good candidate for the waterjet.  The design is a custom foam insert featuring several cut-outs presumably for storage or packaging something of value.  Parts like these can even be encountered in routine settings such as jewelry counter displays, laptop protective cases, heirloom storage boxes, etc. and are ideal for shipping and protecting fragile items from being scratched or broken.
