Recreating Items with 3D Printing

Created on 3D Printer

A lot of our customers are curious about the 3D printer and often ask, “What kind of orders do people place for 3D printing?”  While a lot of our print orders are custom creations, a frequent request is to replicate a part that the customer already has. Often the part was created by hand and will take too long to replicate 30 times, a piece of a machine broke and needs to be replaced, or a company no longer stocks the part the customer needs.

Below is such an example of a part we recently recreated for a customer with the 3D printer.  The original part is on the right and the recreation is on the left. One of the great things about recreations is that customers can modify the original design to get the part they really need. In the second picture you can see the holes were modified slightly to be more smooth than the original part.
